Strategic analysis theory

The core of my research work is the development of Strategic Environmental Management Analysis (SEMA), a framework to guide strategic diagnostic on environmental management issues.

The importance of games as a conceptual model of strategic situations and action has been of particular interest to me since the beginning of my work.

Because it questions the current hegemony of collaborative approaches to resolving environmental issues, and because focusing on environmental effectiveness may lead to questionning other social priorities, environmental management is, in my view, an intrinsically critical perspective.

Focusing analysis on the environmental effectiveness of management systems raises both deep normative and theoretical issues. These are the object of the “Environmental Research on Society” (RES) lecture cycle, available online from this site. They also underpin the recently created research workshop on “Normative foundations and strategic analysis of environmental management”.
